Who are you?

My name is Sean Shapiro. I’m a hockey journalist based in the Detroit area that is trying to figure out the next step in a career that recently took another turn when The Athletic let me go after close to five years of work.

So what is this? And what do I get?

It’s a bit of everything, but for $7 a month you get access to exclusive stories and coverage of the NHL and hockey in general.

The goal of this site is to live within the margins of weird and interesting, hopefully providing something you can’t find in most places. I’ll be covering the business of the sport, the personalities of the players on the ice, and focusing on other things that I find interesting within the hockey world.
