20/20: Wyatt Johnston does it again as Stars rock reeling Avalanche in Game 4
Dallas has a chance to close out Colorado on Wednesday in Game 5.
A close series no longer feels close.
The Dallas Stars dominated a reeling Colorado Avalanche 5-1 in Game 4, taking a 3-1 series lead with a chance to advance to the Western Conference Final on Wednesday.
Here is the 20/20.
1. You may have heard the phrase, “the story writes itself.”
It’s a lazy cliché, if we are being honest. But I don’t have any issue being lazy right now because Wyatt Johnson’s night felt like it was scripted.
A 20-year-old, turning 21 at midnight. For the first time in the United States he can legally buy an adult beverage, and I’m sure that first beer tastes even better when it comes on a charter jet home after putting Colorado on the ropes with a pair of goals in Denver.
Johnston could have had a hat trick, probably should have been selfish, but instead of shooting into the empty net he teed up Sam Steel to ice it at 5-1.
