The final 4-1 tally wasn’t reflective of how much the Dallas Stars controlled Game 6 and eliminated the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.
The Stars dominance from Game 5 in Dallas carried over, the Wild offense was non-existent and after all the fire and anger of the first couple games, Game 6 was simply a prelude to handshakes.
Even Fredrick Gaudreau’s tally with 7:07 remaining — though it may have led to some clenched rectums back in Dallas — was more of an inconvenience than an actual threat to the Stars hopes of advancing.
