I do not understand the Robertson hate. I have no problem with him wanting to be paid and wanting to be a Dallas Star. I want both.

I wish it had been figured out a lot sooner, but everyone's patient about it so I will too.

I'd love to know (and we never will) who leaked the Seattle trade. Not Nill, but maybe Robertson's camp or Seattle. (maybe Gaglardi in a time of frustration?)

I think a lot of people need to chill before going off all half-cocked because it leads to dump opinions.

Totally agree. The market changed pretty dramatically in Robertson's favor and he should be paid accordingly. I don't get those who compare it with the Mikko contract. The Mikko contract will work out fantastically for the Stars in the long term looking at current contracts being signed.

Hey, I'd love a discount deal with Robertson that allowed the team to sign more players. He's not, and that's his right.

But this is the end of the salary cap crunch the Stars have been in due to flat cap. They'll be fine.

Sean, what's the procedure if the Stars cannot fit the arbitrated contract under the cap?

Does this mean Robo and Stars will go to arb, and Robo will play on the one year arbitration contract and sign a longer deal later? Or will the Stars and Robo figure out a longer deal?
