Calling Hakanpaa big is misleading... he’s tall. He’s long armed and sticked, so he can be tough to get around, and that also makes him VERY effective on the PK. But he is not “heavy” big. He’s built more like a lean basketball player. And He doesn’t have the speed to make the e=mc2 work. Lots compare him to Oleksiak, but Oleksiak weighs a good 30-40 lbs more.
I agree fully with your thoughts about high hockey IQ on the Stars. But another name I’d add to the conversation, in spite of his young age, is Wyatt Johnston. This young man seems to have off-the-charts hockey IQ that will only continue to grow in its impact on the game as he plays more NHL games. I am so impressed with him!
