I hate that stupid “who cares” chant.

Brutal, but accurate.

EXACTLY THIS. I have no idea why they couldn't start a single game playing like they had to won every puck and score every goal to beat this Oilers team...

Deboer has got to go and Benn doesn't have it anymore. Time for new leadership.

That cool demeanor left the building after Edm’s 2 bc goal… PDB never calls a timeout to change momentum… he never pulls the goalie after 2 shots…

Almost worked…

The team analysis will need to be brutal for this team to get what it’s missing… desperation! Too many: weak plays, weak passes, weak coverages, giveaways, and net front flybys!!!

Good season, yes. Good team, yes. Just missing the magic teamwork to go further… lines never really meshed… liked Robo, Johnston, Rant. They actually made some passes!!!! Start with that next year.

Having an always cool demeanor of calm

confidence doesn't smack of urgency. De Boer's constantly talking about "playing better" game to game as series advance when they continued to lose doesn't set the stage for urgency when they hit the ice. Neither does the lack of responding to defending teammates who get trampled. They still have a young core that is learning but the laid back demeanor in their coaching only goes so far with even the talent Nill has amassed. I'd say after Gaglardi okayed $96 million, changes are coming.

Sean. I was at the game so really interested to see the media scrutiny and Pete's press conference on the decision to pull Jake. I wonder how that flys in the locker room and does this permanently alter the relationship between Otter and DeBoer? Maybe Benn has played his last game as a Star, and Pete gets a pink slip too. The current formula is clearly not at Edmonton 's level. Love my Stars, but am also objective.

Amidst all of the hullabaloo of the Rantanen trade the Stars wound up winning one fewer game than either of the past two seasons. We got Miro and Robo back and somehow seemed to play worse. I don’t know who to blame or if any changes could be made. But it sucks. It really sucks.

Boy, what a disappointing end to the season. Kudos to Edmonton and good luck to them in the SCF. They were the better team; but I did expect the Stars to put up a little more resistance.

Disappointments: Pretty much the entire forward group except for a few. Robertson showed up late scoring 4 of the last 5 goals the Stars scored, but he showed up despite being more banged than folks were led to believe. Hintz played hard as usual despite multiple cheap shots. 4th line, especially Steel, played hard every night. The rest were pretty much no shows.

Defense was pretty much the same as the rest of the season. Harley and Lindell looked beat after picking up all the extra minutes in Miro's absence. Positive note - good to get Bichsel some big time experience. I think the kid is going to be good.

Goaltending was just OK...I put a lot of their woes on scheme and defense

Coaching: Not good. The goalie pull in game 5 was bad enough, but the post-game presser was inexcusable. WOW!! Can't see PDB coming back after that. He officially "lost the room" with that little stunt. #1 Goalies are harder to find than coaches. Zero between game and in game adjustments.

GM - We never really addressed the defensive issues all season. It was obvious early on that Dumba and #46 were not the answer. You had a guy in Cedar Park that came up and played some good minutes and was at times better than the regulars. What took so long to figure that out? The trades - we gave a 3 1st Rounders (plus others) for a guy made an initial splash and then disappeared. Mortgaged the future for one guy. I thought Nill was above that sort of stupidity. Made no sense considering our defensive woes. He definitely needs to shoulder some of the blame considering he built this roster. Way too soft for the playoffs. The fact that no one took a run at Nurse or Bouchard after the blatant intents to injure Hintz was downright embarrassing.

Going to be interesting to see how this off-season shakes out. A new coach is definitely in order after that presser. It will be interesting to see who goes and stays,
