Sean, I’m wondering what you make of Jamie’s decision to avoid the media after the game? Not that he would have or could have said much with a hearing likely, but geez I wish he would have faced the questions. To me, that’s worse than the penalty.

I’m a long time season seat holder, and I’ve never considered Benn to be the great leader everyone claims him to be. I had given him the benefit of the doubt this year because of the way he had embraced his reduced role and contributed points-wise. Now, all the goodwill and respect he built with me is gone; and not because of the penalty, but because of the decision not to face the media. I hope to never see him in a Stars uniform ever again.

My guess is that was a team decision.

It was not a team decision. It was Benn’s choice

Saw that reported afterwords. I just don't know why Benn would not wait until Parros had spun the wheel of justice before speaking yesterday. But I probably would have got ripped for that too. The Internet loves outrage. He really put himself in a no win situation.

If that is the case, that’s even worse.

I can understand you thinking that. Benn will get in front of a mic at some point. Whether they take the 'C' who knows.

I love Jamie but this was just an all time bad moment that will follow him for a while. All time no show from the team in a huge game and I understand fans walking out. The throwing trash is a major embarrassment

All-time brain explosion from the Captain. Overall, a pathetic series from the Stars to this point. The point of no return.

Lots of words to describe this game but garbage feels appropriate on all fronts. Absolutely mind boggling watching all the good will this team and season accumulated implode in less than 3 days.

Sean - curious where your concern-o-meter is with Jake. I wanted to believe he was just having some off games in the Seattle series, but he's been plain awful the last month. Don't want to overact but for someone who's been lauded as having a michael jordan-esque mindset and "the next great goaltender" comparisons, I truly hope we are not seeing a Carter Hart type rise and fall.

Just sooooo disappointing and embarrassing.

Benn was an embarrassment and our own fans were an embarrassment.

Glad Stone's okay.

What a dreadful night all around.

Even if Benn isn't suspended he should be healthy scratched Thursday.

Something seems very wrong here... How come the coach wasn't able to calm the team and get them to rally?
