I’m sad that I can’t attach the photo of you in my office this morning looking like a mad man figuring this out 😆

Making the Stars play on 2 nights rest against a team on 5 nights rest seems like an extra cruel extension on an already cruel playoff format.

I don't believe this only because I can't imagine them not giving the Stars the 8:50 pm playoff start. I won't know how to function on zero sleep for the first two rounds. My pretty solid source at AAC said to expect Saturday for Game 1 but no official news yet..

Every year I buy three tickets to a likely weekend game so I can take my wife and daughter on the trip up from Austin, and every year my hopes are dashed by the NHL scheduling department.

I have three tickets to Game 1 and hope you are right, Sean.

5pm on Saturday would be ideal.

Interesting. Likely pretty spot-on, although I would think ESPN would prefer Colorado at Dallas on 4/21 in the 8:30 CT slot on the Flagship rather than earlier on the Deuce. Put Winnipeg-Minnesota on the Deuce.

Highly doubt the league or US TV will want to kick off the playoffs with DAL-COL and the Stars wouldn't be happy with a 5pm start. It'll be an east coast team--probably battle of Florida.

certainly possible, but if they were going to make east team play Saturday it could also be Toronto-Ottawa for Canadian TV purposes in that slot. That's why this is a reverse engineering, not reporting thought
