Logan Stankoven has won an NHL job, let's not forget some of the important context
A look at Stankoven's season that effectively started and was refined in the AHL in October and November.
Logan Stankoven has earned a full-time NHL job with the Dallas Stars.
He has eight points in six NHL games, including a four-point night on Tuesday when he and Wyatt Johnston helped Dallas rally back for a 7-6 overtime victory in San Jose.
Johnston had a hat trick and two assists, Stankoven scored twice and had two primary assists — including on Roope Hintz’ game winner in OT.

On April 10, 2010, Jamie Benn scored the game-winning goal in a shootout in Mike Modano and Jere Lehtinen’s final game with the Stars.
