This week, I sat down with Detroit Red Wings rookie defenseman Simon Edvinsson who is in Detroit, sort of, for the remainder of the regular season. He’ll finish the season in Detroit, but the Red Wings are going to make sure he only plays nine games so his entry-level contract slides a year.

Players in general get more personal about two pieces of equipment, their stick and their skates, which is why stories within this realm are going to focus heavily on sticks and skates.
