Do you think the rotating A and leadership by commitee approach Lalonde has taken this year had any effect on that? I know the whole point was "you dont need to have an A to be a leader", but Im not sure its working
I know noone wants to take a guy's letter away, but maybe it's fair to ask if Larkin should be captain. I mean, if you can take a C away from Joh Tavares ...
Who is a better option? Tavares was gifted the C with his fat paycheck and he lost it when there was an overall organizational shake-up. I am not always a big fan of giving the C to the guy who scores the most, but is there someone with the maturity to lead on and off ice on the Red Wings? I don't watch them enough to know the answer, but leadership needs to know they have a good replacement before stripping the C from their guy. Also, it may depend on who gave him the C. Some teams have a captain chosen by the GM, and that is harder to change than if they are chosen by someone else.
