I’d move Johnston to the untouchable category. He’s arguably been their best player of late. But good with the rest of your theory. Where are you on Kane?
that's fair on Johnston... he's been great lately, but also not untouchable for me... on Kane, I'm fine with making a deal, but he's also not a mortgage so much of the future for me because I think adding the second competent puck moving D is more important personally.
Might it take a one of the three non Harley prospects due to the lack of a 23 first rounder? Meaning, other teams may not have to put up that capital because they have a 23 first round pick.
it's not the lack of a 23 pick, but rather the lack of a second first to potentially spend. If another team comes offering 2 firsts in the deal, how do you counter?
While I respect the premise of such a deal, I’m just not willing to do it. Certainly not with Johnston or Stankoven involved. Those two are the Stars’ future versions of Bergeron and Marchand. They will make the so-called Benn/Seguin “window” look like a pinhole in comparison.
Good question. Honestly, I’m not sure. Definitely more so than Johnston and Stankoven, whom I view as untouchable. I’m a bit concerned about Chychrun’s seeming penchant for injuries so far in his career if I’m giving up a prior first pick plus a future first and second. But, as with anything, there’s an element of risk/reward with any deal. How’s that for a definite maybe?! 😅
I will give Maverick and Harley. Stank and Wyatt at untouchable IMO
fair.

Kane’s tricky financially. How much is left in that tank? And how does he fit in the locker room. Joe Pavelski he ain’t.
Do it. Any prospect but Wyatt and whatever picks they want. He'd create another hole we have to fill and he's good on the team NOW.

would you be ok with the concept of the deal for Harley or Bourque? Just curious taking fan temperature on this.
