Hey Sean, I like the footnotes. Think they’re a nice addition to the writing. Is it possible to get them to link back to the place in the article? It should also be said I read on my phone nearly all the time. Idk if that has an impact or not but wanted to provide context

if you click the footnote itself, and I believe this works on the phone, it'll take you back to place in the article.

It does pop up when reading. Didn’t realize that was a feature. Thanks for clarifying!

Just watched the replay on the Heiskanen injury and my thoughts are: 1) doesn't look good; 2) WTF was Stone doing?

Stone didn’t have to dive at Miro. Is momentum was taking him to right, Miro deeked and Stone bit. Stone lunged intentionally to block Miro. My highschool football coach would have called it a textbook roll block… for some strange reason now outlawed in every sport at every level… oh yea, including hockey.

It was a cheap intentional play by Stone. The “oh I didn’t mean to hurt him” is his way of really saying “that he got hurt when I tried to impede his progress, is an added bonus”.

PDB’s intellectual take, while maybe technically correct… showed why his team plays without emotion too.

Who has Miro’s back? Not the refs, not the league, not his coach, and certainly not his teammates… sadly.

I have disliked Mark Stone for no rational reason for several years, which has been compounded by Stars fandom and dislike for Captain Spleen's annual LTIR shenanigans will definitely color my opinion, but I try hard to give people benefit of the doubt. I haven't watched the game yet. I have a student who is a VGK fan, so I will ask for his teen opinion on it to try to be more fair.

Sean, you've got a there instead of their in the paragraph starting "on the Star's front".

Nice article. I also enjoy the footnotes!

thanks Chris, self-editing only goes so far sometimes. And also I'm glad to hear that people are enjoying the use of footnotes, it's something I've been trying more.
