What's it like covering the Stanley Cup Final?
Giving readers a quick view of day in the live traveling to cover the final series of the season.
It’s hard to find good deals at the airport.
Airport prices, like stadium prices, are exorbitant and take advantage of the fact that the consumers are in a spending mood.
I believe I’ve read somewhere that the cost of food at an airport establishment is typically 50 percent higher than it would be in the outside world.
That’s why I thoroughly enjoy the small empanada place — Half Moon Empanadas — right after you get through security at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. This morning I picked up a shot of espresso and a bacon, egg, and cheese empanada for $7.49, total.
If you are traveling through Fort Lauderdale, terminal two, remember that for next time.
And I might be back here next week for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final after the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers 5-3 in Game 5 to extend the series.
Not sure if this will interest readers, but I figured this would be a good space to kind of peel back the curtain of what it’s like covering the Stanley Cup Final.
