Wing Wednesday: Shayne Gostisbehere and the flank on the power play

Taking some data points from last season and his first "game" playing for the Red Wings.

Originally I was going to write something about the Detroit Red Wings potential new top line of Lucas Raymond, Dylan Larkin, and Alex DeBrincat.

But, when you play the Pittsburgh Penguins AHL team, it’s hard to really use that competition as a fair sample size. I had also been considering doing something on Jonathan Berggren, but he struggled on Tuesday night, and it doesn’t seem like a fair analysis to nitpick on a poor exhibition.

Thankfully the the Red Wings 4-3 preseason victory gifted us an easy topic to tackle, with Shayne Gostisbehere making his informal Detroit debut.
