Going to have to remove my sub to Athletic.

I will always wish you the best and support you on the basis that Shaun’s/Sean’s/Shawn’s have to stick together.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that they let you go - yet another reason to reconsider my subscription with them. Hang in there, Sean - I hope you are able to find something soon. Just subscribed monthly and will spread the word to other fans as well! Take care of you and yours!

Wishing you nothing but the best, Sean. You have my support for as long as it takes. And when you find a long term spot, it’s safe to say we’ll support you there too.

In the meantime, can I make a request? I know it’s time consuming, but man, the video breakdowns on PP and PK do wonders. You’ve helped me (and especially my Mrs.) be able to see some of the finer points of the game with those.

I'm a longtime reader. I did the annual subscription because I subscribed before I read this article. I'm hoping for lots of Stars content because you remain the best beat writer the area has for Stars coverage. Good luck to you and your family as you discover what this next chapter of your life will look like.

Sorry to hear that, Sean. Similarly to others that have posted, you were the reason I sub'd to the Athletic in the first place.

You've got my monthly subscription here, looking forward to reading you more regularly again until something more permanent comes along!

What are the chances of you coming back to Dallas?

physically I'm not moving. My family is home in Michigan, we are close to our extended family and we are happy. However, there are some possibilities in the works for Stars-related things in the not-to-distant future that may happen, but nothing is certain yet.

Sweet. That’s what I was referring to was just being more of a stars writer. But might be difficult without physically being there.

I don’t know what the Athletic are doing.

It wasn’t so long ago that you were promoted from Stars coverage to National coverage, and I enjoyed those stories just as much as your earlier work on Dallas. Or almost as much, as I *am* a Stars fan first.

Getting rid of some of the best writers doesn’t seem to be a good way to keep an audience long term. I’ll certainly reconsider my subscription when it’s due for renewal.

Meanwhile, I’m delighted to see you doing this and am happy to subscribe for as long as it continues.

thanks for the support James. I'll make sure this is worth your sub each month we do this.

I maintain there's an audience for a "Beer League Team Of The Week" series.

I would love to see pieces on the business side of the game (beyond the NHL level too would be cool), or even depth on certain players (if you can).

I've got some plans that we are figuring out on both fronts.
