Early returns indicate it's probably best to pick a handful of games from the schedule.

Off first glance, I'm leaning toward this slate of games to include, but subject to change:

Florida Panthers at Buffalo Sabres -- only game at 1 pm

Vancouver Canucks at Philadelphia Flyers -- only game at 4 pm

Detroit Red Wings at New Jersey Devils -- two young teams, fun storylines

Nashville Predators at Dallas Stars -- this has been the most-requested game by readers

I was debating including Ottawa-Toronto, but unless that game brings something that we must discuss, I wanted to limit it to one game per start time

I will try to include Vegas-Seattle, but with it being the 10 pm start, it's going to be a game-time decision.

This will likely change, ha, silly me thinking I could pay attention to daytime games with two kids running around.... we will still have something tonight based off the evening

On another side note, what do people think about this threads feature as a space to talk during games in the future? I would likely make it part of the paid subscription.

I’m digging this. Much better access to the author and interaction if you ask me.

3-4 sounds good. Assuming one of those is DAL/NSH obviously :)

3 or 4, including Stars game

With a new season, a league wide overview is fun, and a 1 game in depth - Stars/Preds!!!

This early in the season, where theoretically everything is still possible, I like hearing about every game. As the season progresses and playoff pictures get clearer, it's fair to say some games are less meaningful and warrant less attention.

Depth over breadth

You seem to thrive when you can focus so I would go with fewer games. Id be happy with either.

You do your best when you're able to offer your insight. Doing all the games spreads that too thin. Pick stories you find interesting and focus on a couple of those games - even if they might otherwise appear like useless games.

3 - 5 games plus reasons for those choices?

On a personal note. I've decided to watch some Toronto games on ESPN+ becitheu play an exciting brand of hockey, they have a beaten down fan base, and they're Eastern Conference. I watch a lot of Stars hockey, but that's it. Is there a better team from the east to follow?

Obviously the stars. Cmon now Sean

I vote for all of them.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a quick hit on each game scheduled for today.

3-4 sounds good. If something jumps out about one of the other games, you can always add some single sentence observations.

3-4 games, I agree with everyone who thinks you thrive when doing more in depth stuff.

3-4 in depth, but please have one as Stars/Nashville. Sorry, but biased with your excellent Stars coverage over thr yeas!
