I think the fact that he's actually looked better at times this year is actually an indictment of his deal. At this point, saying "he's looking like maybe he's not a bad 3rd-liner some nights" proves how bad the deal was and how poorly his play has reflected his pay.
I hope he can continue to find ways to contribute, and hopefully can stay out of the box. I don't see a way that the Stars ever see full value from him. Not one of Nill's finer moments, but no one bats 1000.
Marchment has looked better so far this season, but he also had a good start to the 2022-23 season before falling off a cliff. Time will tell. Perhaps having Duchene as a linemate can unlock more value from Marchment’s game? So far, so good. But I still don’t think he’s going to justify the big contract unless he can make up for it come playoff time. Not holding my breath.

Seems like Mush is showing some flashes thanks to Duchene. I still have hope he can put up at least one 40-50 point season during his contract.
